Over two million energy efficient lamps were supplied by the Lighting Association's original Energy Efficient Lamp Scheme (EELS) for retailers. Re-launching in 2010 the new EELS scheme makes low cost energy saving lamps available to independent retailers who, hitherto, have found it impossible to compete with major retailers. The scheme establishes a competitive route to market for energy efficient lamps. The LA is able to supply the retailer with energy efficient lamps that have been subsidised by E.ON. With the knowledge that the lamps are of the highest quality and all are Energy Savings Trust Recommended. Retailers can also choose from a variety of caps and choice of a Look a like and Spiral.
